Why “Think Global”

The short answer: because it can be good for your bottom line.

I might be comparing apples and oranges a bit here, but with more than 70% of the world’s purchasing power located outside of the United States, it’s not surprising that U.S. export dollars have outperformed the economy as a whole year over year. OK, 2009 was not good for anyone. U.S. services exports detailed separately because 1) we seem to be good at this and 2) because, of particular interest to me, this category includes technology services.

If you never leave home, you believe the world is your backyard (African proverb.)
